Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 1 year Direct patient care with phlebotomy or specimen processing experience (Required)
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification or equivalent upon hire (Required)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates accuracy in laboratory specimen collection, processing and handling per orders and labeling guidelines.
• Maintains a safe environment by complying with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with providers and care team to meet patient needs.
• Ensures QA/QI compliance and participates in training of staff and students.
• Performs intradepartmental and interdepartmental communications during shifts.
