Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Phlebotomy training preferred.
• ASCP certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood samples using venipuncture techniques.
• Receives, labels, and distributes specimens per protocol.
• Maintains organized work areas and restocks supplies.
• Registers courier-delivered specimens and resolves printer issues.
• Assists with hospital information systems and orders tests.
• Answers and transfers calls and ensures coverage.
• Performs capillary collection (heel sticks) as needed.
• Adapts to workflow and provides shift coverage.
• Maintains standards of respect and professional conduct.
• Follows department policies and participates in meetings.
