Job summary

Mansfield Hospital is seeking a Technical Laboratory Assistant for the Lab Float Pool in Mansfield, OH. This casual, part-time role supports phlebotomy and a range of laboratory tasks across campuses as needed.

Flexibility for varied shifts and strong teamwork are essential. Prior phlebotomy/ specimen processing experience and a valid driver’s license are required, with training and regulatory compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's License (DL) is required.
• 6 months–1 year of phlebotomy and/or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Associates in skilled nursing facilities must have an active driver’s license and carry personal auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• 75% Phlebotomy and specimen processing tasks.
• 15% Computer-based tasks (LIS, e-Source).
• 5% Training new employees and students.
• 5% Compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, OSHA, CMS, JCAHO).
• Maintaining ongoing competencies and education.
