Job summary

Emanate Health seeks a Phlebotomist to join its Laboratory Services team. Under supervision, you will perform venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and assist with specimen processing and data entry.

You will also communicate with clients to resolve specimen concerns as needed. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, and a California CPT certificate with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology required.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred; 1–2 years assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Communication skills to include fluent English.
• Typing and word processing skills; excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics.
• Performs micro collections on infants.
• Participates in data entry and specimen processing.
• Communicates with clients to help resolve specimen concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
