Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Phlebotomy (preferably in an acute care facility setting).
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician - CPT (CA DPH) required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood sample specimens by venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Screen specimens for acceptability according to established guidelines.
• Deliver blood products to surgery and specimens to laboratory sections.
• Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Maintain professional development and participate in quality improvement.
