University of Illinois Chicago UI Health is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor of Clinical Pathology Laboratory (Phlebotomy Supervisor) to oversee phlebotomy services. This on-site, weekend-shift role requires supervising phlebotomists, coordinating training, and ensuring timely, accurate specimen handling across UI Health sites.

Responsibilities include scheduling, workflow management, maintaining supplies, and contributing to quality assurance and safety standards while supporting a positive

Qualifications

Six years total in biological sciences or closely related field or related clinical pathology experience.
Progressively responsible work in a clinical pathology facility including hematology, urinalysis, and chemistry.

Responsibilities

Supervise Phlebotomists, including evaluating work performance and scheduling.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of laboratory tests and analyses.
Maintain supplies, equipment, records, and reports; manage workflows.
Coordinate training for staff and students; participate in quality issue investigations.
Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages as needed.
