Job summary

Labcorp in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team, offering a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week with rotating shifts from 6:30am-11am and 12pm-4pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities include performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, collecting specimens for drug screens and other tests, entering patient data accurately, processing billing as needed, and traveling to additional sites

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training or 3 months or more experience.
• Must be able to perform blood collections on all age groups.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
