Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Associate to join the patient care team at our Beverly, MA location. The role encompasses specimen collection, order entry, processing, packaging and transport of specimens, and adherence to QC guidelines to ensure specimen integrity and accurate results.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, inventory control, and customer liaison with the laboratory, with weekend/holiday coverage as required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of approved phlebotomy program required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Internship preferred.
• 1 Year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately prioritizes processing and transport of routine and stat specimens.
• Performs specimen collection in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs order entry and registration according to established policies.
