Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital seeks a phlebotomy/lab support tech to collect blood specimens, process samples, and perform outpatient EKGs at the Outpatient Center. You will verify patient criteria, instruct on specimen handling, and support lab operations using Cerner Lab System.

Responsibilities include STAT and routine rounds for venipuncture, specimen packaging to reference labs, and maintaining logs while adhering to HIPAA guidelines. 40-hour weekly schedule in Uniontown, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Certification Course, Medical Assistant Program, or nursing program.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred (6 months) and LIS experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Conduct outpatient EKGs and assist in related services.
• Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling in Cerner Lab System.
• Process and transport specimens to appropriate destinations.
• Provide clerical support to the lab and coordinate tests.
