Qualifications

• High school diploma required with coursework in English, typing, and filing.
• Must read with comprehension and write legibly; proficient grammar.
• Familiarity with hospital services, hospital information systems, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs accessioning and specimen processing.
• Performs order entry and basic patient registration.
• Conducts basic phlebotomy for adults, children, and infants.
• Performs EKGs.
• Assists with testing under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Ensures accuracy of patient, specimen, and order information.
• Monitors supplies and manages stock levels.
• Works as part of a team to ensure quality and timely collections.
• Performs non-essential departmental duties as assigned.
