Job summary

Geisinger Medical Laboratories seeks a Phlebotomy Specialist to join our clinical team in Scranton. You will perform phlebotomy, support the Receiving and Processing areas, and ensure high-quality specimens for testing.

Candidate should have 5+ years of experience and be ASCP certified or eligible. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with strong teamwork and patient‑focused care integral to daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ASCP Phlebotomy Technician certification is required or must be obtained.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant phlebotomy or lab support experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and assist in Receiving and Processing areas as needed.
• Provide supervision and on‑the‑job training for staff and students.
• Ensure sample quality and timely reporting according to laboratory policy.
• Collaborate with regional lab teams to standardize procedures and resolve issues.
• Maintain supply inventory and assist with audits and quality initiatives.
