Zusammenfassung

The Medical Center of Aurora, part of HCA HealthONE, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support the specimen procurement, receipt and processing area. You will greet patients, obtain blood specimens, and liaise between hospitals and reference laboratories to ensure timely, accurate processing.

Under the Laboratory Supervisor, you’ll provide quality service, adapt to age-related care needs, and perform duties as assigned. Familiarity with phlebotomy and basic computer skills is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy program preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification or BLS Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and answer questions regarding specimen collection.
• Obtain blood specimens and ensure quality service.
• Interface with hospital departments, physicians and labs.
• Perform general laboratory duties as assigned by supervisor.
