HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is seeking a Phlebotomy Laboratory Assistant to support the Laboratory Desk and specimen procurement in a busy hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient interaction, accuracy in specimen handling, and coordination between departments to ensure timely, quality service.

Under supervision of the Laboratory Director, you will greet patients, answer calls, schedule tests, obtain specimens, and uphold safety and compliance standards across the laboratory workflow.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Hospital laboratory experience desired, not required.
• Integrate current scientific knowledge with technical competency.
• Follow written policies for ordering, inventory and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Greet outpatients and answer the telephone.
• Schedule appointments and provide test procedure information.
• Process specimen procurement and labeling.
• Interface with hospitals, physicians and laboratories.
• Perform general laboratory duties and ensure quality service.
