Bon Secours Veterinary? Bon Secours is seeking a Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist at Rappahannock General Hospital to draw blood, prepare specimens, and handle clerical tasks to keep the laboratory running efficiently.

The role requires accuracy, customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Travel to off-site locations is expected; education includes a high school degree, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required or preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for testing.
• Performs clerical duties such as order entry, result look-up and report generation.
• Identifies patients accurately and ensures correct service matching for safety.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing.
• Answers internal/external calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Maintains inventory and supports department operations.
