Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to support testing, delivery and distribution of lab results. The role involves specimen collection, patient interaction, and ensuring accurate labeling and data entry in lab systems.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy training program and successful completion of a phlebotomy externship of at least 80 hours within the last year, OR two years of phlebotomy experience, OR completion of a Medical Assistant program with phlebotomy training.

Responsibilities

• Conducts phlebotomy and specimen collection per procedures.
• Greets patients and communicates collection instructions professionally.
• Documents results and enters lab data into computer systems.
• Ensures patient safety with proper identification and labeling of specimens.
• Maintains equipment and performs routine instrument startup/shutdown as assigned.
