Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and associated tasks with minimal supervision.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for department functions.
• Observe students or new staff as needed and mentor where appropriate.
• Demonstrate problem-solving to ensure quality patient care and service.
• Handle hospital communications including on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Exhibit effective telephone and verbal communication with staff and patients.
• Display professional judgment in dealings with clients, patients, and coworkers.
• Complete clerical tasks including critical communications in supervisor’s absence.
• Maintain confidentiality of personal and confidential information.
• Participate in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend schedules as needed.
• Maintain basic PC skills and use department systems for documentation.
• Support department-specific technical and clerical functions as directed.
