Family Practice Associates in Kentucky is seeking a Phlebotomist - Medical Laboratory Assistant (Full-Time) to perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as part of daily laboratory operations. Responsibilities include specimen collection, documentation, and safety compliance.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to prioritize workflow. Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with potential evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills; CPT preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Fine motor skills to operate computer and lab equipment.
• Electronic health records experience preferred.
• Stand for long periods; lift under 10 pounds.
• Strong communication, problem solving, initiative.
• Prioritize and develop workflow.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Collect and process specimens; maintain documentation.
• Send specimens to reference labs when needed.
• Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are viable.
• Uphold safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Record test results; maintain QC records.
• Follow corrective actions and report issues.
