Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic or EMT certification preferred.
• Experience with specimen collection and processing in a hospital setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and handle specimens in a hospital laboratory.
• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks per patient needs.
• Register specimens and enter orders accurately in the LIS.
• Educate patients/families on specimen collection procedures.
• Maintain documentation and follow safety policies.
