Job summary

Bon SecoursLab Assistant - Phlebotomist at Southside Medical Center is a full-time day shift (4am–12:30pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The role draws blood, prepares specimens, and handles clerical tasks to support efficient lab operations.

The Phlebotomist will maintain accurate data entry, communicate professionally with patients and staff, and travel to off-site locations as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, phlebotomy certification is preferred, and 1 year

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community.
• Collects all specimens according to established procedures.
• Identifies patients accurately and matches identity with service.
• Performs data entry and processing of specimens (labeling, centrifuging, splitting).
• Handles clerical duties such as inventory checks and answering phones.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
