Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MercyOne HHS Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a shared leadership environment.

Responsibilities

• Accept specimens and requisitions and manage add-ons per laboratory procedures.
• Identify patients and specimens using two identifiers and label containers accurately.
• Register and log specimens in the LIS and document required information.
• Perform specimen processing such as labeling, aliquoting, slide prep and required documentation.
• Support safety, infection control and quality standards to ensure timely turnaround.
