Southwest Health System in Colorado is seeking a Lab Aide (Phlebotomist) to collect high-quality specimens and support efficient lab operations. The role requires a High School diploma (certification preferred), current BLS CPR, and strong English communication with customer service and basic computer skills.

You will perform venipunctures, register specimens, and assist the Clinical Laboratory daily, while staying focused on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); additional languages preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipunctures and skin punctures safely, efficiently, and with a steady, reassuring presence
• Understand test requirements; assist the Clinical Laboratory as needed
• Complete bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and blood sample collection per protocol
• Register patients/specimens according to hospital policy
