Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a full-time position with a Fri/Sat/Sun schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The role focuses on proper blood collection, patient identification, and timely specimen handling in a safe, compliant environment. The ideal candidate will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, label specimens at the bedside, and maintain equipment and workspace while communicating effectively with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary collection per policy.
• Labels specimens at bedside to ensure correct patient ID.
• Prepares, packs, and transports specimens maintaining sample integrity.
• Explains procedures to patients to ease anxiety.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and workspace per safety standards.
• Documents patient and specimen data in the lab system.
• Collects timed specimens as ordered.
• Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
