Job summary

Labcorp in Bristol, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, and accurate data entry at a client site in Bristol. Monday–Friday schedule with 8:30am–5pm hours.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months experience. Travel to additional sites may be required and overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
