Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect clinical laboratory specimens and perform venipuncture.
• Register patients; requisition lab orders and verify billing information.
• Process, store, and transport specimens per lab requirements.
• Perform waived testing with general supervision.
• Provide logistical support and customer service; assist in orientation of new staff.
