Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a flexible Medical Assistant/Lab Assistant to join our team onsite. The role includes venipunctures, specimen processing, patient registration, order entry, and coordinating with the lab staff to ensure timely testing and accurate results. Travel within 25 miles may be required to cover sites as needed.

• Ability to read and interpret safety and procedure manuals.
• Bilingual Spanish may be required based on service location.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens for testing.
• Registers patients, enters orders, and verifies billing information.
• Processes and transports specimens per lab requirements.
• Maintains inventory and supports on-call coverage as needed.
• Provides courteous customer service and assists new staff.
