LRSolutions, LLC in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire. The role runs 7am–8pm, Monday–Friday, and involves traveling within Northwest Indiana. Mileage is paid; a clean driving record is required.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in phlebotomy and related duties. The candidate must hold a valid state phlebotomy certification, have basic MS Office skills, and meet the stepping-stone education

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match scripts and label correctly; prepare specimens for transport.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures, labeling accurately.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results to respond to questions.
