Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) is seeking Phlebotomists to join our team in a clinical laboratory setting. You will perform venipunctures and skin punctures, ensuring proper specimen collection and labeling while collaborating with clinical staff to support patient care.

We welcome candidates across experience levels (I–III), with opportunities for mentoring and advancement. Full benefits are offered with a 12-hour day shift in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomist I, II and III qualifications will be considered; salary commensurate with experience.
• Experience as a nursing assistant/CNA/MA/CMA or similar will be considered.
• Military experience (e.g., 68W, HM) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and skin punctures according to CLSI guidelines.
• Demonstrates expertise in patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, accessioning, and processing.
• Exhibits problem-solving skills and teamwork in a clinical setting.
• Escalates issues to Laboratory Leaders as needed.
• Mentors students and new employees.
