Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in McDonough, GA is seeking a full-time phlebotomist to screen donors, collect blood, and support mobile and fixed-site collection operations. You will help ensure a safe, positive donation experience and build relationships with donors.

Full-time role requires availability for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, with LifeSouth training and career development opportunities to grow skills in donor care and blood collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn LifeSouth’s blood bank software.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe donation experience by screening donors and collecting blood.
• Support collection operations at donor centers and on bloodmobiles.
• Verify donors' identity and protect confidential information.
• Conduct donor interviews and determine eligibility.
• Perform phlebotomies and monitor donor safety.
• Recruit donors and schedule return appointments.
• Set up equipment and support blood drive operations.
• Clean and stock stations and document issues.
