Job summary

OnePeak Medical invites you to join our team as a Phlebotomist. You will collect blood samples with precision and compassion, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain sample integrity in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 6 months phlebotomy experience or training, and current BLS/CPR. IV certification within 6 months is preferred, with an associate degree highly regarded.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomist training program is required.
  • Current BLS and/or CPR/AED certification is required.
  • IV certification expected within 6 months of hire (preferred).
  • Associate degree in a medical field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electronic lab orders and ensure accuracy for patients.
  • Administer and record injections as part of patient care.
  • Assist with IV administration and documentation.
  • Conduct phlebotomy draws and ensure sample integrity.
  • Cross-train to support clinic areas including front desk duties.

Join our team as a Phlebotomist and play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples with precision and compassion. You’ll ensure accurate labeling, maintain sample integrity, and provide a positive experience for patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Oversee electronic lab orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all patients.
  • Administer and record injections.
  • Assist with IV administration and documentation.
  • Conduct lab and therapeutic phlebotomy draws.
  • Cross-train to cover various clinic areas, including medical assistance and front desk duties as required.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the provider or manager.
  • Utilize problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address patient complaints.
  • Attend scheduled departmental staff and clinical meetings.
  • Ensure full compliance with OnePeak Medical's Employee Handbook and the Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Binder in carrying out all duties and services.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support OnePeak Medical.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Minimum of 6 months recent phlebotomy experience and/or completion of formal Phlebotomist training program - required
  • Current BLS and/or CPR/AED Certification - required
  • IV Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire date - preferred
  • Associate college degree in a medical field - strongly preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Move supplies up to 25 lbs
  • Lift equipment up to 25 lbs
  • Standing and walking 50% of time
  • Typing and sitting 50% of time
  • Up to date on health screenings (TB, Hepatitis) and immunizations

Salary Range for this Role

$17.18 - $20.22 USD
