Job summary

Centurion is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join the team at Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mount Sterling, IL. The role involves drawing blood, checking vital signs, performing finger-stick blood sugars, and assisting with activities of daily living for inmates. Shift is Monday to Friday, 3am–7am (4 hours daily).

Pay rate is $21.42/hr plus PRN differential. High school diploma/GED required; phlebotomy training completed; CPR/BLS certified; security clearance and background checks

Qualifications

• Completed a certified phlebotomy training program.
• High school graduate or GED.
• At least one year of phlebotomist experience preferred.
• Experience in corrections/behavioral health preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and monitor vital signs in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Perform finger-stick blood sugars and assist with daily living activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed a certified phlebotomy training program
• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED
• At least one year of experience working as a Phlebotomist preferred
• Experience working in corrections/behavioral health preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
