Job summary

Centurion Health at Pinckneyville Correctional Center in Illinois is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician. You will assist the pharmacist, stock medications, prepare prescriptions, and support a busy prison pharmacy staff.

Qualifications include completion of a Tech training program, HS diploma or GED, active PTC certification, CPR/BLS, and at least one year of experience; corrections/behavioral health experience is preferred. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Completed a Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Be a high school graduate or hold a GED.
• Active/Current Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• At least one year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Experience working in corrections/ behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of correctional healthcare principles and practices preferred; along with knowledge of applicable state and federal laws.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Aide and assist the pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner.
• Interact with healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.
• Support pharmacy operations and ensure accurate medication preparation and dispensing within the facility.

ThePharmacy Technicianworks under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist. This personwill aid and assist the pharmacist in assigned supervised duties in a responsible and ethical manner. Theywill interact with a variety of healthcare professionals, corrections and administrative staff to achieve the goals of the pharmacy department and fulfill contractual requirements.

Hourly rate of $20.49/hour with a PRN differential of $4/hour.
