HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to collect venous and capillary blood samples, prepare specimens for analysis, and perform screening tests under supervision. The role requires careful patient identification, PPE use, and adherence to safety practices in a busy hospital lab environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of clinical phlebotomy experience, proficiency in venipuncture and capillary sticks, and a certification in phlebotomy with current BCLS

Qualifications

• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques including venipunctures and capillary sticks.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Detail oriented and able to perform skills efficiently and accurately.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and prepare specimens for analysis and perform screening tests as indicated.
• Collect venous and capillary blood samples using various techniques.
• Receive, process, and distribute laboratory specimens and paperwork; stock supplies.
• Maintain patient identification at bedside and ensure safety during handling of specimens.
