Job summary

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our lab services. You will perform venous and capillary blood collection, handle samples, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation following hospital protocols.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy experience, ability to work with multiple age groups, and a current BLS certification (new hires must obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• On the job training or previous experience.
• Ability to collect samples from every age group with skill.
• Current BLS; new hires have 30 days to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Performs venous and capillary collection procedures.
• Monitors computer/labels/reports to ensure no collections are missed.
• Collects all pertinent insurance information.
• Answers questions about patients' lab results by phone or in person.
• Separates and distributes reports throughout hospital.
• Pulls collection pending list and reconciles schedules.
• Orders patients tests into the lab information system accurately.
• Cleans glassware following policies.
• Monitors and documents temperatures in refrigerators/freezers and incubators/waterbaths.
• Provides clerical support for lab and orients staff.
