Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our laboratory team. The role involves collecting blood samples efficiently and in accordance with hospital standards, under supervision of a Medical Technologist, and contributing to quality control.

You will greet patients, perform collections, label and data-enter specimens, and prepare samples for multiple departments. Prior phlebotomy training and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Graduate of Phlebotomy Course required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• If phlebotomy program has not been completed, then must have one-year experience in a medical laboratory or college coursework in biological/chemical sciences.
• Six months computer keyboarding or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and instruct on proper specimen collection methods.
• Draw blood specimens by finger stick, heel stick, or venipuncture.
• Label specimens and enter data into the computer.
• Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis.
• Assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.
