Job summary

Clinch Valley Health in Virginia seeks a Phlebotomist for PRN coverage to support our clinical laboratory services. You will perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process tests and document results to help diagnose and treat patients.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with a phlebotomy certificate, BLS certification, and 1–2 years of lab experience. You’ll work with a compassionate team to ensure accurate specimen collection and timely results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with phlebotomy certificate required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, process lab tests, and document results.
• Follow CLIA and COLA requirements and regulations.
• Serve as back-up for clinical team members and lab registration as needed.
• Obtain blood specimens per orders and document results in the EMR.
• Communicate with and assist patients professionally and courteously.
• Review schedules, verify orders, identify patients, and verify records.
