Job summary

Harboroaks in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a phlebotomist to draw blood for various medical laboratory tests, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities include verifying patient or donor identity for correct labeling, labeling samples for testing, and entering patient information into the database; you will assemble and maintain needles, test tubes, and blood vials, and keep work areas clean and sanitary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred; required in some states.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
• Previous experience in behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
