Job summary

North Port Behavioral Health in Florida is seeking a phlebotomist to draw blood for laboratory testing within a behavioral health setting.

You will verify patient identity, label samples, enter information into the database, and assemble/maintain instruments. Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace and provide empathetic, professional patient care; CPR and de-escalation certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available).

NPORT

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred.


• Previous experience in behavioral healthcare setting with knowledge of patient population served by the facility preferred.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

• Professional certification preferred and required in some states.


• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).


• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
