PRN - 430am to 830am/ Every Other Weekend
Overview
Under general supervision, performs phlebotomy procedures at an advanced level, collects blood samples by performing venipuncture, finger or heel sticks on patients, may start IV’s, ensures the quality of blood specimens and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients following established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Completion of an accredited program in phlebotomy is required. Certification as a registered phlebotomist by a nationally recognized Phlebotomy Society, such as the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians, is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years work experience as a phlebotomist is preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment is required. Laboratory specimen processing experience is preferred.
