Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Far Hills, NJ. The schedule includes Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 9:00am-5:00pm and Tue 9:00am-6:00pm, with travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen processing, data entry, and delivering exceptional patient service while maintaining logs and handling billing tasks. We offer growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training may be required in lieu of work experience
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Overtime availability
• Able to pass color blindness test

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
