Job summary

Freeman Health System in Arkansas is hiring a PRN phlebotomist to perform venipunctures and specimen collection. You will identify patients, enter data into the lab system, and collect urine drug screens, with additional duties as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal phlebotomy training or on-the-job phlebotomy training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples.
• Identify patients and follow specimen collection procedures.
• Enter collection data into the laboratory system with times drawn/received and codes.
• Collect chain of custody urine drug screens.
• Pickup samples from nursing units as required.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by Laboratory Supervisor.
