Job summary

Labcorp in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at National Road. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and provide accurate data entry and patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and excellent communication. The position offers weekday hours 7:30am–4:00pm with some overtime and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
