Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at National Road in Wheeling, WV. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, data entry, and customer service across patient service centers or client offices.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training or up to 3 months of experience. The pay range starts at $17.75 to $21.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and the PST incentive plan potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
