Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform various specimen collection techniques on inpatients and outpatients. This consists of accurately collecting specimens, performing data entry, and ensuring timely transport to the laboratory.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma and have completed a phlebotomy training program or have relevant experience. This position requires effective communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Training Program or 6 months of experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy using a variety of techniques.
• Accurately collect specimens from inpatients and outpatients.
• Ensure timely transport of specimens to the lab.
• Interact professionally with healthcare providers and patients.
