Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in the Health Center at Tower Place is seeking staff to collect clinical specimens, assist with patient registration and order entry, and provide logistical support under supervision. The role involves venipuncture, specimen handling, and ensuring accurate documentation while serving customers.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with 6 months to 2 years related experience preferred. Bilingual abilities may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and write routine safety and procedure documents.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required or provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens using proper collection procedures.
• Registers patients, requisitions lab orders, and verifies billing information.
• Processes, stores, and transports specimens per lab requirements.
• Maintains tidy work area and inventory; supports training of new staff.
• Provides on-call and mobile service as required and travels within 25 miles as needed.
