Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens; explains collection procedures.
• Registers patients and requisitions lab orders; verifies billing information.
• Process, store, and transport specimens per lab requirements.
• Promotes HNL Lab Medicine values and maintains customer relations.
• Maintains knowledge of specimen requirements and collection devices.
• Assists in orientation and training of new staff members.
• Participates in Continuous Service Improvement and education programs.
• Records expense reimbursements following electronic processes.
• Provides on-call and mobile service; travels within 25 miles as needed.
