Saint Mary’s Hospital Lab Waterbury, CT PER DIEM

This role involves obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. Your work is essential to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.

What you will do:

• Properly identify patients per policy and perform venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods
• Label all specimens following laboratory policy
• Receive, cancel, order, and process laboratory/microbiology specimens

Work Hours/Shift:

Per Diem, Various Shifts

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• National Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care, or acute care setting
