Description:

Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs, CT - PER DIEM

You will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.

What will you do:

• Properly identify patients per policy and perform venipuncture using standard or butterfly methods.
• Label all specimens following laboratory policy.
• Receive, cancel, and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.

Work Hours/Shift:

• Per Diem (as needed)

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Laboratory experience and specimen processing preferred; or clinical office experience with medical terminology.
• National Certification preferred.
