Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in New Brunswick, NJ, to perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and enter data accurately. The role requires strong customer service skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and flexibility to travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Phlebotomist – New Brunswick, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 6:00pm. Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services and drug development solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Compensation

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
