Job summary

The WellStar Laboratory Outreach team in Georgia is seeking a detail-orientedPhlebotomy/Registration Specialist to join our patient-centered care network. Under supervision, you will register patients in Epic, enter insurance and test orders, collect specimens, and ensure proper packaging for transport, while upholding CLIA and CAP QA standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of computer registration and customer service experience, plus phlebotomy/expertise; BLS certification is required

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year computer registration experience.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year phlebotomy and specimen processing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registrations and verify accuracy of lab orders in Epic and other systems.
• Conduct phlebotomy specimen collection and processing per protocol.
• Package specimens for transport and coordinate courier pickups.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve billing issues with patients and offices.
• Maintain QA checks and ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP guidelines.
