Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Laboratory Outreach specialist to support in-office phlebotomy and specimen processing across multiple locations. You will register patients in Epic, enter insurance and ICD-10 data, and coordinate with Quest and LabCorp systems while delivering high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy and specimen processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registrations and registrations in Epic/Quest/LabCorp systems.
• Accurately enter insurance data and test orders.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Package specimens for DOT-compliant transport to labs.
• Maintain QA checks and comply with CLIA and CAP guidelines.
• Assist physicians and office staff with orders and billing issues.
